Kuriosi Privacy Policy

Kuriosi is a trivia game. We collect as little as possible — here is everything, in plain English.
What we store
Kuriosi saves your progress, best score, achievements, play streak, game statistics, and preferences on your device. The game also stores a random device ID, display name, progress, statistics, and leaderboard entries in our game database so cloud features continue to work.
Optional account sync
You can play without an account. If you choose Sign in with Google, Clerk handles the sign-in and may process your name, email address, profile image, and account identifiers. Kuriosi stores the resulting Clerk account ID and your display name so your game progress can follow you across devices. We do not store your Google password.
Leaderboards
Your display name, score, level, and score time may appear on public daily, weekly, and all-time leaderboards. Choose a generated game handle instead of your real name if you do not want your name shown.
Services we use
Vercel hosts the game, Convex stores game and leaderboard data, and Clerk provides optional account sign-in. These providers may process standard technical information such as IP address, browser details, and request logs to operate and secure their services.
Kuriosi may use Sentry for error monitoring. When enabled, Sentry may receive crash details, browser and device information, the page where an error occurred, and related technical diagnostics. Before events leave the browser, Kuriosi removes account and device identifiers, URL query data, request headers and bodies, and interaction breadcrumbs. Kuriosi does not use this information for advertising.
What we do not collect
Kuriosi does not request your location, contacts, photos, microphone, camera, or advertising identifier. The game has no ads and does not sell personal information.
Deleting your data
Clearing your browser data removes the local copy and disconnects an anonymous device ID from that browser, but it does not automatically remove cloud records or historical leaderboard entries. To request deletion of a stored player or account record, contact robert.barker2008@gmail.com. We may need the display name or account email you used so we can find the correct record.
Changes
If paid features, email delivery, or other services change how data is handled, this page will be updated before those features launch.
